Connor May
Washington University · Basketball
Applied to a lot of High academic D3. UChicago, WashU, Hopkins, etc. Journey started pursuing D1 schools, getting a couple offers then none were the right fit. Pivoted to high academic D3 to continue basketball and also find a school to maximize academics as well. Ended up visiting WashU for a practice and loved the staff, team, and school

Theodore Rocca
Washington University · Basketball
I made my college decision by considering several important factors. What was most important to me was going to a high academic university while trying to play for an organization that had a strong competitive culture and was always competing for a conference championship or the NCAA tournament. I also considered aspects such as size, the campus, and location. Following my junior year, particularly during the spring and summer, I gained a clearer understanding of my recruiting position and the level of programs that were the best fit for me. This allowed me to narrow my focus to a group of schools I was most interested in and excited to visit. I was very fortunate to be recruited by Washington University in Saint Louis because it checked all of the boxes for me, and once I had my visit, I knew it was the best fit for me. Other schools that I were recruited for were NYU, UChicago, Johns Hopkins, and Trine University, among others.

Guillermo Gasset Ruiz
Emerson · Basketball
Played highschool basketball in Germany (ART Giants Düsseldorf). Had a couple JUCO, NAIA and D3 options (including hope college) but wasn't too convinced on role and academics. Took a post grad year at IMG academy. Got recruited by schools like Emerson, Brandeis, Marymount, Springfield and had a few d1 walk on opportunities. Ultimately committed at Emerson.
